Audiometry is an assessment of hearing ability (hearing test) used to detect signs of hearing loss as a potential result of noise exposure at work.
We provide a complete audiometry service including reporting, trend analysis and follow up. We can conduct tests at our clinic or can carry out mobile screening on your site.
Information about the latest Noise at Work Regulations is available here.
Audiometry testing is mandatory for all employees regularly working above an upper exposure action value. You may also wish to consider testing employees who have additional risk factors, such as existing hearing loss and for those working in areas/roles where good hearing is considered essential to an individual’s or others health and safety. We can also provide initial hearing assessments for new employees to provide a baseline measurement.
If in doubt, Zen Occupational Health can recommend an occupational hygienist to conduct a noise survey.
Working with Zen Occupational Health will allow you to:
comply with The Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005);
fulfil your hearing protection/noise reduction programme;
detect any early noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) among your employees; and
reduce the risk of civil claims for noise-induced hearing loss.
